But from someone who isn't a pro at making graphics but has improved and learnt over the last year:

Your icons always have a lot of bright blue (and red) which I'm assuming is selective colouring ? It looks like SC at least and as if you're using nearly the same settings for all of your pics. Sometimes that makes them look just a bit too bright/blue for me (I'm not much of a fan of very obvious SC in general). I guess it's like a trademark for you :D
I'm surprised you manage that with all the different fandoms because my style changes with different fandoms (since they use different colourings in different shows/movies). Maybe you could try to use and enhance the colours that are already there sometimes.
Otherwise your icons aren't all the same really. Different crops and fonts/text. It's really the colouring that stands out to be very similar.

I can't really tell you what to do differently because I always just experiment with different things when I make icons and then they come out like they do. Sometimes I wish I had a trademark (like with the current challenge at theskilltester) :D

Uh, you think a have a trademark, thanks. I work with gimp since nearly one year and I think I've really improved, but your right with that my stuff often looks the same. I like the one you did for the challenge. The coloring is amazing. Maybe you could have changed the font. (: Thank you very much for your long comment. You're a native speaker, aren't you?

You make this colouring with GIMP ? WOW, you'll have to teach me that. I'm requesting a tut because I'm using GIMP as well :D

Which icon are we talking about ? And fonts really aren't my strong point (yet), so any advice is appreciated.

Ich hab mal so ein Tut(http://valliegurl.livejournal.com/66444.html#cutid1) gesehen und das dann etwas abgewandelt:

1. Ebene 2x duplifizieren, dann 1. auf Bildschirm stellen und 2. auf Überlagern. Dann etwas an den Deckkräften raumschrauben, bis es euch gefällt. Zum Schluss Ebenen zusammenfügen.

2. Farben: Farbabgleich: Cyan: -100, Magenta: -30

3. Farben: Komponenten: Kanalmixer und da dann halt diese Werte eingeben: Rot: 169, -60, 0/ Grün: 0, 100, 0/ Blau: -60, 60, 100

4. Und dann ist das eigentlich schon fertig. Speicher die Kanalmixerwerte am besten.

Ich meinte den KS-icon den du dafür gebastelt hattest. Der ist wikrlich cool. Ich bin leider auch kein Experte für Schriften. (:

Uh, jetzt habe ich alles auf Deutsch geschrieben, weil ich mein "Tut" schon mal auf Deutsch abgespeichert hatte. *lol*

Bin sonst immer noch ahnungslos - meinst du das letzte Kristen Stewart icon für theskilltester ? Da hab ich ewig gebraucht um eine Schrift zu finden, die man unter dem Farbverlauf noch sieht (Aufgabe war, jede zweite Ebene muss ein Farbverlauf sein).

Nice icons! There's a lot of lovely stuff here.

But people asking for particular one's is going to get difficult, have a link to make it easier for you. Essentially, what it does, is it creates those nice html tables for you, all you need to do is upload the pics to a site, grab the web address, and put that into the generator.
